KANGAROO COURT

WCFBL play went back to Oak Grove on Father's Day. What a way to celebrate!! Then we get to go home and watch more of Tiger Woods incredible talent.

930 AM Game

San Francisco Giants 10 vs. Elk Grove Giants 3

No surprise here. Heath Keller throws 6 spotless innings and then good defense to back Dr. Guy Peabody's floating baseballs from the mound and keeps the Elks at bay save for one flurry ended by Dave Decruz's base running miscue (go to the Kangaroo Court.) San Francisco once again pounded out another big lead (they led 9 of 10 games going to the 7th this year.) John "BHL" Haines continues on pace for a "50-hit" season going 3 for 3. Don Dewitt, Heath Keller, Frank Weishaar, and Mike Desjardines had 2 for 2 days while Ray Mialovic, Ruben Donig, and Guy Peabody each hit singletons.

Doug Rusch with a double and a single and Carl Vargas' two base hits led the Elk Grover's. Dave DeCruz sliced a double to ignite the already mentioned brief rally. Mark Gemello, Count Montelatto, Joe Maitlen, JC Penney, Randy Saladana, and Terry Lee belted bingles for the Elk Grove team.

1 PM Game

New York Giants 8 vs. Philadelphia A's 2

Mike Miller pitched a solid six innings in place of the injured Mark Bruzzone (fell off his bike and broke his collar bone!) Another tight defense and lots of hits moved the New York boys 3 behind the leading SF Giants with 5 games to play. July 27th in San Rafael looks like a big game for SF & NYG, especially if either the A's teams can slow SF down!!
