Another late edition, but wait!! I can explain. First of all I was attending an excellent Minor League Camp in Stockton with Dave Henderson's guys. Mike Mello, Dave Gamson, Tom McCampbell, and JC Penney were also participating. Five games and some great coaching from Dave "Hendu", Greg Caderet, and Tim McIntosh. Unfortunately my experienced was dampened by a strained right knee medial collateral ligament sustained earlier in the week but aggravated by catching an 82-pitch first inning. Also, the last two weeks were the last two weeks at Sunnyvale Middle School where I work and I have literally been on one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest with several 16 hour days closing out the year with all the events I run for the kids in addition to my educational responsibilities. Oh yeah, there's an audit of the accounts I manage at work too. THE REAL REASON this edition is late is because I wasn't at the games on June 8th. No one provided any information, so I have almost nothing to say. In any case, WCFBA play staged the first Triple-Header this weekend and except for the poor Elk Grove guys, the games were pretty close. |

9 AM Game As I was driving home from Stockton I called Greg Terra to find out what happened to our team, the San Francisco Giants. According to Greg, the SF Giants continue to succeed using the Keller-Weishaar pitching tandem. Duane Blevins kept the SF team under control but they brutalized Mark Gemello in the 7th to take the lead and win the game. No batting stats available but you can go to gokellers.com if you want to see that yes, Willy Wineberg is leading Jim Realini in hitting so far this year. |

Noon Game I'm glad JC was in Stockton, this couldn't have been fun to sit through. Matthew Schmuck & Mike Miller must have had an entertaining post-game email wrap. |
