Lodi was fun.
Apologize for this taking so long. By the Way, I've
accidentllay deleted the June 3rd Games, does anybody out
there have a copy you could send me? Looks like Yomuiri has
wrapped up the unofficial mythical title for this years
version of WCFBL and all that's left is a scrappy fight for
second. Arigato!! The Saint Louis
Giants relied on a top o' the eighth inning rally to pull
out a stunning victory over the hard luck Philadelphia A's.
Lyn LeFevre and Mike Simon combined to hurl the Giant
Birdmen to victory while Mike Byron and Jeff McAusland threw
6 innings of one run ball making Dave Gamson the hapless
non-winner dyring his three inning stint. The Giants
pounded out 14 hits (the A's scorebook says they got twelve)
with Frank "Titanium" Weishaar leading the way with 3
bangers. Keith DaCosta, Lyn Lefevre, and William Wineberg
each belted two hits to thump the A's. Michael Simon, Angie
"Truly the Better Half" Simon, Moochy Hughey, Ben Chen, and
Vaughan Chagovjian each slapped singeltons to complete the
A's pasting. Craig Alexander
led a potent Philly Cheese attack with three bingles, while
Rod Oehlein had two singles and a big double for the head
cheese award. Gordie Yost and Mike Byron slapped two solid
singles each with Dave Gayner and Jeff McAusland each adding
a double and a single to the A's stack o' hits. Don
"Alyouminimum" Luis and Pat Macias each made singles to
complete the A's attack.. The Samurai
Warriors from Yomuiri showed why they are this years
mythical champs by systematically pounding the A's with
Banzai batting performances. Chilly had a double and single.
DJ had a double and a single. Vargas had two singles. Mike
Miller only had a single. Ray Miailovic had two singles.
Steve Conroy had two singles. The Count, Lanterman, Lueders,
Johnson, Weil, and Schmuck each cracked singles. Only Sally
Jo and Don Han were missing hitters in the box score.
Awesome!! Unrestricted legendary kudos to the Yomuiri guys
who showed us that showing up and playing as a team is what
wins games. #1.Moochy's
puutin' his whole team of Cardinal Giants up for not hittin'
as well as Willy who blasted two line drive
singles. #2. Lynn LeFevre
qualifies for walking off to the parking lot stating "well I
guess a ie is bettern' losing!" Except that you won
Lynn!!
